CISA ASTRAL S 24 CYLINDERS

The new CISA Astral S 24 cylinder from Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies successfully complies with Clause A parts 1 & 2 of PAS 24:2007 straight from the box and without the need for armoured handles or guards.

MLA/BSI approved with the British Kitemark, the innovative cylinder design incorporates a snap-resistant patented laminate steel core. This not only increases the overall flexural snap and pull resistance, but also acts as a visual deterrent. In addition, a break line has been incorporated, which will cause the cylinder to snap off, should the handles on a PVCu or composite door be removed.

With two thirds of all burglaries being attempted through a door, there is a tendency to attack door cylinders. The 10 pin cylinder system of the Astral S 24 features over 1.6 million different key combinations as well as security enhancements to protect against all forms of forced entry. This includes as standard hardened steel pins and drivers in a unique configuration to protect the cylinder from drilling and picking. The cylinder is also fitted with Ingersoll Rand’s patented BKP device to provide resistance against bumping – a form of attack which is becoming increasingly prevalent throughout Europe. The cylinder is operated by flat reversible nickel silver alloy key which provides robust performance as well as greater control against copying when compared to a standard serrated key.

Given its many security features, the Astral S 24 is an ideal solution for all PVCu and composite doors, helping manufacturers to achieve the latest PAS 24:2007 Enhanced Security for Door systems without the need for extra door preparation or fitments. Manufacturers can safeguard their customers without fitting bulky handles which compromise on looks and visual appeal.
